A twelve-month, fully online programme that turns artificial intelligence from a headline into a working skill. Built for professionals who want to apply AI in the real world, with no coding experience required.
Register your interestArtificial intelligence has moved from the research lab into the daily operations of nearly every industry. The organisations pulling ahead are not those with the most theoretical knowledge, but those with people who can apply AI: choose the right tool, prompt it well, adapt it to a specific problem, and understand where its limits and risks lie.
The Master in Applied Artificial Intelligence is designed around that reality. Rather than treating AI as an abstract computer-science discipline, it teaches the practical craft of working with modern AI systems, from large language models to data mining and generative media, alongside the regulation and ethics that responsible use demands. You will finish able to lead AI initiatives, not just talk about them.
The programme is taught entirely in English and delivered online, with support available in Spanish where needed. It is deliberately accessible to professionals from any background: no prior coding experience is required.
The programme comprises 60 ECTS credits across seven taught modules and a supervised master's thesis, delivered over two semesters.
By the end of the programme, graduates will be able to:
The programme is open to graduates from a wide range of disciplines. Because AI is now applied across every sector, we welcome candidates from backgrounds including commerce and business, law, information technology, data science, engineering, economics, marketing, the sciences, and the humanities, among others.
Admission is selective and considered on the whole of each application. We look for candidates with the ambition and discipline to complete a demanding master's degree and to put it to use.
Applied AI skills are among the most sought-after in the global market, and the ability to lead AI adoption is increasingly a route into senior roles. Graduates are positioned to move toward positions such as:
The programme is equally valuable to professionals who want to bring AI capability into their current role and industry, from finance and law to healthcare, media, and the public sector.
Like all our programmes, this master is built on three principles: learning to use artificial intelligence with judgement, developing the human skills that set professionals apart, and preparing for the roles that will hold their value as the world changes.
